John Kornegay
John Kornegay is a native of Mt. Pleasant and a graduate of Wando High School. Prior to law school John graduated Cum Laude from Clemson University with a degree in Political Science. He then attended the University of South Carolina School of Law graduating in 2015. After law school he went to work at the First Circuit Public Defender’s Office for Dorchester County. While there he represented hundreds of clients facing a wide range of serious felony to misdemeanor charges. As a public defender John helped people facing some of their most difficult circumstances, and he gained valuable courtroom and jury trial experience. John has been licensed to practice law in South Carolina since 2015.
