Melanie began working for Shelbourne Law in 2002 when her family relocated to the Lowcountry.   Her professionalism and dedicated personal service have since been key contributors to the success of our firm.

Amid the years of pursuing her education and professional goals, Melanie has also been busy raising three sons and supporting her husband’s career as an Air Force pilot.

She has put her keen interest in the integrity of family and community to work in many capacities during her career, including advocacy for family strengthening programs.   She also polished her skills in the Judge Advocate Generals’ Office and with extensive work in Federal Bankruptcy Law.

Community
Melanie and her family can be sighted at a wide variety of activities around the Summerville-Charleston area.   With three sons attending three different schools, a husband active in the Air Force and with many interests that reach beyond her professional life, that shouldn’t be much of a surprise.

Currently Melanie serves on the board of Directors for Downtown Restoration Enhancement and Management (DREAM) for Summerville. She’s also very involved at her church, Bethany United Methodist.
